Description
As part of my Tolkien mythology multimedia project, I designed my interpretation of the Valar based on gemstones.
Varda, known to the people of Middle Earth as Elbereth Gilthoniel, is the Lady of the Stars, the Queen of the Valar. She created the stars under which the Eldar awoke. She played a part in creating the Two Trees, and the Sun and the Moon. She is loved most by the Firstborn, as her gift was the first they saw when they awoke in Middle Earth. Her dress says the Quenyan word for "of the stars," Elennion.
